You are not alone
Do you have problems with Airbnb? You do not stand helplessly by watching unwanted holiday hire of apartments by your neighbours or other apartment owners. True, the municipalities have rules on holiday hire, but that does not mean that it is always permitted! If your apartment is part of an AoC the approval of the AoC is almost always necessary.
There are things you can do
If your apartment is part of an AoC and the problem comes from a co-owner or an occupant in the AoC you can take action to stop the problem. The AoC usually has to give its approval for any temporary hire. Have they given it but you are still not happy? Then you can successfully complain against that form of holiday hire.

My upstairs neighbour wanted to rent his home out via Airbnb. Only I didn't know that this was allowed. I contacted airbnboverlast.nl and asked them for advice. They went through the relevant documents and reports of the AoC meetings and said that Airbnb was permitted only if the AoC gave its approval. We did, but with some clear arrangements with the landlord. And he's keeping to them. Thank you for the good advice!
